Every reel is different. The amount of audio depends on the length of the tape, the speed at which it was recorded and how its tracks were used. Two reels of the same size can therefore contain very different amounts of recorded sound.
Please contact us for a reel-to-reel quote before ordering. A photograph of the reel and any notes on its box will help us assess it. If you don’t know the recording speed or playing time, we’ll explain what we need to check before confirming the cost.

Choose how many tapes you’d like transferred in our price calculator, then select USB or cloud link. Need help identifying your tapes? Call Debra on 01789 337313.
2. Send your tapes
Pack your tapes securely and follow the posting instructions provided after ordering. If you’re local to Stratford-upon-Avon, contact us to arrange a drop-off.
3. Enjoy your memories
We digitise your recordings and supply your files by your chosen delivery method, ready to watch and share. Your original tapes are returned with free return postage.
FAQs
We transfer standard audio cassettes-the type used in Walkmans and cassette players-and reel-to-reel audio tapes. If you’re unsure what you have, send us a photograph and we’ll help you identify it.
That’s no problem. Send us a photograph of the reel and any labels or notes on its box. We’ll explain what we can identify from these and whether we need to examine the tape before confirming a price.
For standard audio cassettes we charge £17 per tape. Reel-to-reel recordings are quoted individually because the playing time depends on the tape’s length, recording speed and how its tracks were used. Please contact us before ordering a reel-to-reel transfer.
Our usual turnaround is 10–14 working days from receiving your recordings. Larger or more complex reel-to-reel jobs may take longer, which we’ll discuss with you. Your original cassettes and reels are returned after the transfer.
Your recordings are supplied as MP3 files on USB or via a cloud link, depending on your chosen delivery option. You can listen on compatible computers, phones and tablets. WAV files are also available on request.
